Fellow

Hamza Tahir Yusufzai is presently a 2nd year undergrad of Socio-Cultural Anthropology at Stony Brook University. Hamza finds joy in hosting interests between gastronomy, mental health, and Human rights that he umbrellas through a capacious, decolonial conception of a greater-Afghanistan region that accommodates a fluidity and intersperse of social identities. Hamza participates in myriad global south diaspora and civil rights organizations in New York re: AIFB (Afghan International Foundation for the Blind), WOL (Within Our Lifetime), his campus MSA, among others. His most wholesome memories were and still are – family trips to Vermont, the most palpable ecological substitute experience for Khyber far away. A tidbit precept Hamza keeps in mind when in much of his engagements goes something like – ‘two living, reciprocating birds and zero stones’.
