This is [YOUR NAME] calling on behalf of the Afghan Diaspora for Equality and Progress. We are currently working on a voter pledge drive and we want to make sure that you are registered to vote on or before Tuesday, November 3rd. A lot of people feel that this upcoming election is very significant and we want to ensure the votes of Afghan-Americans are counted and heard. Do you plan to go to the polls in November? Can we count on you to vote in November?

That’s great. Do you need information about your polling place? Are you registered to vote at the address where you’ll be on November 3rd? Just as a reminder, if you moved, you do have to re-register before your state’s deadline. (Link to registration deadlines).
It’s an important election, and we’re so excited that you’ll have the chance to stand up for our community by casting a vote.

This is a very important election and there is a lot at stake like our healthcare, social security, climate change, COVID-19, and racial justice. The Trump Administration is hoping for people like you and me and our community to not show up and stay at home because he knows we can make a difference in this country — as we’ve done before.
In case, you do decide to vote, do you need information about your polling place? Thank you for your time and think about how great it will be casting your vote in an important election.

You are right that the Trump administration is damaging our democracy by suppressing the vote and stoking fears of fraud. In fact, they are relying on folks like you to stay home. By voting, you can use this chance to prove them wrong. I just want to emphasize that every vote matters.
*IF WORRIED ABOUT PANDEMIC/SAFETY*
I understand you have fears because of the pandemic and safety comes first. [DEPENDING ON THE STATE] You have the opportunity to use an absentee or mail-in ballot, depending on your place of residence. Do you want me to see what the deadline is for you to request such a ballot so you can mail it in? If not, some states are offering early voting to allow folks to vote earlier to avoid crowds, I can check to see if your state offers early voting.
