A Year into Trump: Afghan-American Discussion Space (DMV)
The Afghan Diaspora for Equality and Progress (ADEP) is providing a space for our community to come together to actively engage and strategize a year after 45 was sworn in office.
Last year we worked with the Afghan-American Conference to address some of the issues resulting from the 2016 Election. What does this mean for our families? How did we get here? How can I get involved? Most importantly, what’s next? There has been no greater need for support and frank conversations in our community than now.
Now with the midterm elections around the corner, ADEP is hosting regional safe space sessions in cities nationwide. These intimate conversations are a chance for us to process our emotions, provide support for each other, and find a way forward together. Please join us for this discussion.
This event is open to all Afghan-Americans, young and old. However, due to limited space, please RSVP and let us know if you are bringing friends.
*ADEP safe spaces will be held in Irvine, Washington, D.C. and the Bay Area. Please message us if you are interested in hosting a safe space in your region or have any questions.
